Lu and Amelyn Evolution

Stardust (2012):

Amy, born as a character named “Stardust”, started with a self-portrait character inspired by a dream I had back in 2012. I was in a “Little Prince” looking world, in space with a ton of little planets, and I was the princess of stars. In my dream, the day was taking over the night and the sun made the stars disappear and I had to stop it. I kept the basic ideas and wanted to make a sort of children story. Lü, who started as a simple star, was always called like that, my best friend at the time just became a big brother and his parents called their daughter Lu, I liked the name so I kept it. Allan came shortly after as a “Day Person” for Stardust to meet and understand how his people doesn’t really have control over the decisions of their ruler. (sta.sh/21u4x01e9vi4?edit=1)

This first sketch is what I suspect to be the very first depiction of who will become Amy.

Stardust (2012-2013):

I changed the world a bit to a more Steampunk like universe, with guns, airships, the little planets became floating isles. Stardust was gifted on the day of her birth by Lu, now a simple looking yellow light instead of a star. Stardust later decided that Lu meant she was promised to great achievements. So, she ran way, stole a soldier uniform and an airship to go and find a way to stop the war. I found it a boring since the steampunk universes were already a little over saturated by then. Amely (2013-2014):

Changed the name for a more common and less “Mary-Sue sounding” one. I was still a bit attached to the steampunk concept so I kept parts of it. I changed the appearance of her people to give them a more fantastic look. I genuinely only wanted to make her look “more original”. Amy got a brother and was now a passionate fencing student. I went to a short phase when I wanted Amy’s people to be 10^th century Russian inspired. Lu is now a strange humanoid being attached to a blue crystal. Amely also wears an orange crystal, like all her people, because of a curse that was put onto them. Their sun worshiping enemies put a curse on them centuries ago so the became extremely sensible to the sun light and their skin burns off if they are not wearing their orange crystal. But I scrapped it out because there were to many crystal things happening. (sta.sh/21joaw1q9jyi?edit=1)
